Nevertheless if you are confronted with one, you have to deal with it. In a street incident mostly origin, skin color or sexual orientation is being picked on, but ultimately &#8211; almost anything can become a trigger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It can be hard to understand what to do if:<br>\u270d You are the target: should you yell back? run away? ignore? call the police? <br>\u270d You are a bystander: should you call the police? ask other people to help? intervene in some other way?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Come and learn how to deal with aggressive behaviour and hate incidents when you encounter or witness one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We have two amazing experts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MAARJA PUNAK from PPA (Police and Border Guard Board) will explain whom you can inform in case of hate speech (online or real life situation) , whom to call to report street incidents and what is the procedure after reporting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AIRIIN DEMIR from VERGE has extensive experience dealing with challenging or aggressive behaviour and she will tell what to do and how to react and to de-escalate the conflict. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presentations are followed by discussion about the current situation in Tartu.
